Katie is the creator of the super popular Columbus Coloring and Activity Book and she'll be on hand Saturday to sign copies of the book as well as sell a selection of prints of her local illustrations. Katie's Clintonville illustrations immediately stand out to any CVL lover--be sure to check them out! This summer Katie is also working with the Clintonville Area Commission on a large scale Clintonville Illustrated map, which will be available later this fall. We can't wait to see it and to see what she'll have on hand for tomorrow's Meet Your Maker! Here's a little more about this talented local illustrator:

Let’s start with an easy one: What do you make?

I illustrated and authored The Columbus Ohio Coloring and Activity Book which features illustrations of Clintonville, German Village, The Short North and Downtown. I also sell limited edition prints of my illustrations.

I'm currently finishing The Columbus Ohio Coloring and Activity Book Part II which will feature Italian Village, Olde Towne East, University District, and Victorian Village.

How did you get started making your current line of products? Why did you decide to make it a business?

I didn’t want to leave Columbus after college, so in my junior year at CCAD I started seriously looking at what types of local jobs were available in my field. After thinking about my strengths and weaknesses, I realized I might be better suited as an entrepreneur. So I decided to take a risk and start my own business after I graduated from CCAD in Spring 2013.

What do you like to do in your non-crafting time?

I am a proud mother of Ulli (my two year old German Shepherd) and Lily (my one year old mutt).

What’s your favorite thing about Clintonville? (besides Wholly Craft of course, haha!)

I was born and raised in Clintonville and I absolutely love it. I think my favorite thing about Clintonville is the people.
