Meet Your Maker: Thirty One Harper
Posted on September 24 2015
Meet your last maker of the year! We're excited to introduce you to JJ Clark of Thirty One Harper for the last of this year's meet your maker series. JJ will be here on Saturday morning from 9am-12pm will all her home goods and accessories. She's one of the most exciting young makers in Columbus and we hope you love her whole line of locally made goods!
What do you make?
I make a variety of accessories and home goods: cufflinks, pendants, magnets, wooden map letters, clothespin memos, mini vases, keepsake or game cigar boxes, and customized vans shoes. Most of the items I make are map or wanderlust related.
How did you get started making your current line of products? Why did you decide to make it a business?
I’ve been making keepsake cigar boxes for 15 years for friends and family. The rest of the items came about in 2012 when I finally made an etsy page. I was going to school online full-time and needed a flexible schedule for additional income.
What do you like to do in your non-crafting time?
When I’m not crafting I am typically riding my bike, Imogene Threadgoode or taking massive amounts of photos of old buildings around the Cbus.
What’s your favorite thing about Clintonville? (outside of Wholly Craft of course, haha!)
My favorite thing about Clintonville would be Nancy’s, Boline Apothecary, or all the fun antique shops.
