Pussyhat Project Knit-In!
Posted on January 12 2017
Join us for a night of knitting Pussyhats for the Women's March on Washington! The bright pink hats will be a collective visual statement at the march and knitting one for a marcher is a great way to contribute to that statement even if you can't make the trip yourself. Our resident crafter extraordinaire Beth is hosting this event and will help beginning knitters get started and help everyone with the hat pattern. Some pink yarn and needles will be available for use, but you are welcome to bring your own. The patterns will be provided or download a free pattern HERE.
This past week's knit in was filled with skill sharing, community building, and good ol' feminist conversation but there's still work to do. So, for folks that missed the first night or those that want to keep on knitting for the March, we'll be gathering again on Tuesday, January 17th from 5-8pm at Wholly Craft.
If you are making hats and want to get them into the hands of DC marchers or are in need of a hat for the march, please contact us - we're happy to facilitate those crafty connections.
