Autism Awareness Month Workshop: Galaxy Bottles
Sunday, April 30th. 3-5pm
Class Fee: $10 (all materials included)
Galaxy Bottles, also known as calming bottles or sensory bottles, can be used to soothe children, toddlers, and adults who are over stimulated or anxious. They can be especially helpful for people with autism or sensory processing issues that might have extra difficulties regulating emotional and physiological responses.
What's also great about them is that they are easy to make! We'll have all the supplies on hand and instructions for making your own custom bottle to take home to a loved one or give as a gift.
We're donating all the proceeds from this workshop to Fluttering Families, a local organization that helps provide support and advocacy for children with special needs and their families.
Can't make it to the workshop? You can find a DIY tutorial for this project (written by us!) in this month's Columbus Parent.
