Intermediate Crochet: Floppy Unicorn Plush
Saturday, January 19th and Saturday, January 26th
10:30am - 12:30pm
Instructor: Megan Fiscus
Class Fee: $40
In this class we will make an adorable Unicorn! Too cute! We will be using the following techniques in this two-part class: casting on, magic circle, chain stitch, single crochet, treble crochet, increasing, decreasing, casting off, weaving in the ends, color changing, attaching, and adding details. It is important that you have practiced these techniques before attending this class.
As the class is broken into two parts, we will first be making our head and the various parts of the head that make it a unicorn (the horn, ears, and mane as well as the tail). In the second class, we will be creating the body parts (torso, arms, and legs) and attaching everything together.
- One small skein of worsted weight white yarn. Keep in mind that if you want your creation to be washable and maintain its crocheted look, do not choose wool. You can choose wool and felt your creation afterward if you like (we can discuss this process).
- A small amount of light grey worsted weight yarn, or any color you like, really, for the hooves.
- Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in various colors for the hair (maybe you have some remnants left over from previous projects?)
- A size G crochet hook
- A yarn needle
- One set, medium sized Safety Eyes
-Poly-fil (this is found in the upholstery/pillow area of most craft stores)
